Dev Log: Mar 9th


Notes: Today was a heavy spriting day - almost all of the items have a matching image ready to go! This update serves more as a general bugfix/polish, as the full graphical update is still brewing. Also, if you haven't seen it yet, check out the web version over on GX games!

-Web build available on GX.games

-Death is no longer an optional game over (fixed bug that allowed player to move and shoot after game over)

-Player no longer fires into thin air (added code to prevent firing with no enemies in the room)

-Added floating damage numbers on hurting an enemy/player

-Fixed enemies ignoring multiple shots (shotgun should now feel much better)

-Adjusted weapon:

      -Sawn-Off Shotgun: Reduced damage per pellet from 2.25 to 1, reduced scaling bonuses: (Old>New) STR:0.8>0.5|DEX:0.3>0.1|END:0.3>0.1

           -Notes: After correctly applying each pellet's damage, the shotgun became incredibly overpowered (with each pellet dealing more damage than an SMG shot). These adjustments should keep the power level about what it was pre-fix.

-Fixed bug that allowed wave complete banner to switch rooms if player has died

-Created sprites for 31/34 items in the game

        -Note: These sprites are not yet in the game - the graphical overhaul will be implemented in one update, once all the assets are finished. Weapons, the pause menu, and the shop background remain.
